Conventional Simple Domed Bursting Disc / LP

This is a type of bursting disc that is shaped directly from the raw disc without any further processing. The concave surface is located on the high-pressure side of the pressure system. When the protected pressure system is subjected to overpressure, the bursting disc is subjected to bi-directional stress in two opposite directions, which causes it to undergo plastic deformation and reduce its wall thickness. Eventually, the disc ruptures, releasing the excess pressure and protecting the pressure-bearing equipment.

Suitable for both gas and liquid media

Suitable for working conditions with high temperature and high pressure.

The bursting pressure of the product cannot be too low and the maximum working pressure should not exceed 70% of the minimum bursting pressure, as it is influenced by the strength of the bursting material itself. The temperature has a significant effect on the bursting pressure.

The service life is short, and in pulsed working conditions, the LP bursting disc is prone to creep deformation and fatigue failure.

The LP bursting disc produces fragments when it ruptures. It cannot be used in series with safety valves.
