  • Operating principle:

    Under normal operating conditions, both the exhaust and intake valve disc assemblies remain closed to seal the steam. When internal tank pressure increases, the exhaust valve disc opens to release steam into a designated recovery pipeline or recovery tank, relieving the pressure. Conversely, when the tank experiences vacuum accumulation, the intake valve disc opens to release the vacuum.

Model 7400 In-Line Pressure/Vacuum Valve

The Model 7400 end-of-line pressure/vacuum valve is normally installed parallel to the top of the storage tank to prevent excessive accumulation of positive pressure or vacuum within the system, maintaining the system’s pressure within a safe operating range. When the tank pressure increases due to filling or temperature increase, steam (often flammable, toxic, or non-compliant with comprehensive atmospheric emission standards) is discharged into a designated recovery pipeline or recovery tank. Conversely, when the tank experiences vacuum due to draining or temperature decrease, the external air forces the valve disc open to enter the tank, preventing collapse.
