  • Working Principle:

    In an emergency situation (such as a fire around the tank), when the set opening pressure is exceeded, the valve disc opens to release the accumulated steam. When excessive vacuum accumulates inside the tank, the spring-loaded valve disc rises, separating from the valve seat, breaking the seal, and allowing air to pass through the perforated plate to release the accumulated vacuum. Once the vacuum is released, the valve disc closes and reseals with the valve seat, maintaining the seal.

8200 Emergency Relief Vent

The model 8200 spring-loaded emergency relief vent is widely used in storage tank protection systems with higher design pressure ratings. It is generally installed horizontally at the top of the storage tank. In the event of a fire around the tank or excessive pressure accumulation inside the tank, the valve provides emergency venting and pressure relief capacity. The valve cover is designed with a spring load to maintain a closed state under higher pressure, only allowing the valve to open in the case of an emergency, such as a fire hazard.
